Great location for Broad Street, Jewellery Quarter, Utilita etc and of main road for peace + good parking which is rare in city centre! prices and restaurant are good! the building is getting dated but it is very clean and professional- a remarkable lady Samira (I believe) in reception was really helpful with how to use parking, directions and a lady called Jessica really knew the local one way system/ local hot spots and had time to make us feel valued. I will definitely be stopping here again and mostly due to the great efforts of the staff there!!

Great communication from the hotel, received an email from the Manager with some very useful information. Specially the information regarding clean air charge for a vehicle.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, no issues from our perspective. One thing I would suggest would probably be; if you have small children it would be worth taking a night light as all the main lights or side lights are very bright.
The service as good, no complaints. Breakfast in the morning was as expected, plenty of choice as we managed to get in before the rush.
All round a great stay. Would stay again.

Absolutely unacceptable and deeply concerning experience. This goes far beyond poor service and highlights serious failures in safety, security, and customer rights.
I was staying at this hotel for business, where my company had mistakenly booked one night instead of two. Without any attempt to contact me or my workplace to clarify the situation, the hotel removed all of my personal belongings from the room during the day and placed them into storage. I only discovered this when I returned at around 6:30pm. Had I been informed earlier, I would have made alternative arrangements.
When I later called to question why no attempt had been made to contact me, I was told the hotel did not have a contact number on file and that this is not a requirement at check-in. However, the receptionist had already confirmed that my email address was held on the booking, yet no effort was made to contact me by any means. This highlights a complete lack of proactive communication or basic customer care.
What followed is frankly alarming. When my key didn’t work, I went to reception and was asked only for a room number, with no ID check or verification of any personal details linked to the booking. I was then given access to a room that had already been checked into by another guest.
This is not just poor practice, it is a serious breach of GDPR and a complete failure of basic guest safety. A stranger could just as easily have been given access to my room. This represents a clear and dangerous lapse in security that puts guests at real risk.
After raising this, I was met with zero accountability. I was simply told the hotel was fully booked and that nothing could be done, leaving me stranded four hours from home with no support, no resolution, and no apparent concern for either my situation or the other guest whose privacy had also been compromised.
To make matters worse, after securing alternative accommodation, I discovered that £150 worth of my belongings had not been returned. No one has been able to explain where they are or identify how this breakdown occurred.
This experience highlights:
- A complete breakdown in communication
- Negligence in handling personal belongings
- A serious breach of data protection and guest privacy
- A total lack of accountability and customer care
This is not a minor inconvenience, it is a fundamental failure in duty of care. I would strongly urge anyone considering staying here to think twice. Your privacy, your belongings, and your personal safety do not appear to be taken seriously.
